When you are born with a specific purpose, you carry a unique energy that drives you toward that path. Often, individuals are born to carry forward the karma of their lineage.

Once, Deepanshu Sir shared a simple yet powerful technique:
The Lagna Nakshatra represents your lineage.
The ruler of the Lagna Nakshatra and its placement in the chart reveal the kind of family background you come from.

Example 1:

In one chart, the Lagna lord was placed in Vishakha Nakshatra, which is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter was sitting with the Lagna lord in Libra, indicating that the native comes from a family of teachers, consultants, or advisors.

Here, the Lagna was also associated with the 10th house lord, suggesting that the native is likely to carry forward their family’s karma or profession.
The native had come to ask about their career path — what field they might go into.
So I asked whether there were teachers, business managers, or consultants in the family. The native confirmed that the mother was a teacher, and the father had worked in business management and was now running his own consulting firm.

In this case, it became clear that the native would pursue a similar direction in business management and consulting, which he was already studying.

Example 2:

In another chart, the Lagna was also in a Jupiter-ruled Nakshatra, and Jupiter was placed in Sagittarius along with the Moon.
Jupiter in Sagittarius typically relates to fields like banking, teaching, and finance. However, the conjunction with the Moon added a nurturing and healing quality, pointing toward healthcare or medical professions.

The native was also seeking guidance about her career. I asked if she came from a family of doctors, and she confirmed that both her parents were in the medical field.
So, it was evident that she too would follow a similar path.

General Observation:

• If the Lagna is connected with Mars, it may suggest a family background in military, law, or police service.
• By examining the Lagna Nakshatra and its ruler, one can gather valuable insights into the native’s ancestral profession or karmic path.
• For a person to carry forward the family legacy, the Nakshatra lord must be connected to the 10th house (house of career).
• If it’s connected with the 5th house, the native may pursue education related to the family’s background but may eventually choose a different profession.
